Stay in your pledge tier, but increase your total pledge by the dollar amount to buy your add-ons. For example, if you want a bonus deck ($5) and the 7 Sins expansion ($10) then add $15.

After the campaign you’ll be invited to a survey from BackerKit where you specify which add-ons will be purchased with your pledge amount!

The golden ticket is meant to be a bonus gift to give to a friend with purchase of your box, or for you, if you decide after playing your game that you want the extra deck!

Shipping is charged after the campaign (when stretch goals are determined and the product is finalized). These are estimates. The game will be about 10 ounces, 6x4x2.5 inches. These prices do not include additional shipping if you purchase add-ons.

United States - $3, Canada - $5, Mexico - $8.50, China - $5

Unfortunately shipping is not incredibly cheap. Many countries will only cost $11, but some countries will be as much as $32. We are EU-friendly (rewards to the EU will be shipped from within the EU).

Foreign countries don’t always delivery packages for the rates they are supposed to, and may destroy or hold shipments hostage. I will try my absolute hardest to charge the lowest shipping, including shipping from fulfillment centers within those countries or regions when possible. Due to unknown factors that can affect shipping costs, I can at best promise to warn you via update (and email) what the real costs will be prior to charging you. And of course you will be given the opportunity for a refund if you wish. I apologize, but I will also have to reserve the right to refund any pledges that I don’t think my shipping partners will be able to fulfill. I will reach out to you directly if this becomes necessary.

Here are the countries my shipping partner won’t deliver to. I can still try to ship there directly, but I can’t make promises you will get your packages in a timely or cost-effective manner: Afghanistan, Brazil, Congo, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea , Guinea-Bissau, Haiti , Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Libya, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Russia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine. Currently it’s available in English only, but the game is so simple, it could easily be played by players who don’t speak English. We also have translations of the rules into several languages available at the top of our campaign page.

There are symbols on the cards that explain what they do, and there will be translations of the Night cards after the campaign is over on Board Game Geek (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/235451/growl)

Yes! The Basic Box has the “bare-bones” deck, plus a bunch of coins, physical punchboard tiles instead of paper cards for the objective tiles, and a bag for the coins. Plus a nicer rulebook, and rules in other languages. The bare-bones deck will probably just have a shrink wrapped 2 page rules rundown.

The Howly Growly adds about 18-25 cards, and many if not MOST of those are totally new. There are “twist” versions of the regular cards like “Cursed Gold”, some cards that hurt wolves more, and some cards that hurt humans more, and one or two Night cards that relate to cards only in that set.

There’s also a spells expansion in the Howly Growly that can be given to players (face up on the table) during the game.

Yes! You can combine two bare-bones decks to play with higher player counts but that is an unsupported “hack” and I am not spending time playtesting the balance, or which cards come in or out since the Howly Growly will be tightly balanced.

The $16 Basic Box game comes with a 60+ card basic deck playable 4-8 with 8+ of the best Night cards. It is similar to what the free print and play version offers, and what some early backers picked up for $1.

The Howly Growly Box adds 25+ advanced cards, including a proper 8-10 player expansion and the Spells expansion, which let you play Spells face-up to add shifting player powers. The only other cards in the game are a $10 expansion called 7 Sins, which adds a fun variant that punishes mean players and rewards nice players. That expansion can be added to your pledge by simply adding the $10 (after the campaign I’ll invite everyone to BackerKit to select their rewards).

Finally, the higher single-game reward tiers all come with 7 Sins.

The 10 pack reward tier is just 10 Howly Growly boxes without 7 Sins.
